Teflon® Encapsulated O-Rings – A Cost-Effective Solution

By Dichtomatik on 11 September 19 Blog

Teflon® Encapsulated O-rings, are popularly used to seal a variety of connections. These simple sealing solutions are produced in standard shapes including circular, d-shaped, x-shaped and square. Inside the solid core, rubber materials are typically composed of elastomers such as FKM (Viton®), and Silicone but other materials such as NBR (Nitrile), and Polyurethane can be used in conjunction with Teflon® surrounding the outer core surface and can offer clear advances to using other materials.

Dichtomatik offers encapsulated O-rings with a solid Viton (TEV) or solid Silicone (TES) core that is FDA compliant.

TEV: Teflon Encapsulated Viton® provides an elastomer core which energizes the seal, provides resiliency and offers a very low compression set value. Black Color.

TES: Teflon Encapsulated Silicone contains an elastomer core as well that energizes the seal, provides resiliency and performs better than Viton at low temperatures.  Orange/Red Color.
